Earn a coupon for free ice cream just by checking out books at the library!

Stop by the library to collect a punch card. Every time you checkout books, get a punch. When you get 5 punches, you get a coupon for free ice cream! When you turn in your punchcard for a coupon, you can get a new punchcard and start over again!

Parent/Caregiver Meetup and Playgroup

This playgoup is a great opportunity to meet other parents/caregivers and give your child the opportunity to socialize and play with other children.

Parents/Caregivers and their children are invited to hang out in the Library Meeting Room. We will provide toys, puzzles, and activities for the kids and coffee and tea for the adults.

Chess Club

Join Mr. Dennis Doren for monthly chess club.

Meets the first Saturday of every month - except February, 2023! That meets on February 11th!

Led by experience local player and teacher Dennis Doren.

Beginner's session at 9AM. Regular play at 10AM.

Beginner's session aimed at absolute beginners who want to learn how to play, and those who consider themselves familiar with the basic moves but little more.

Regular session will include teaching about strategy, tactics, positional assessment, how to think about choosing a next move, and all the usual things related to improving one’s skill. The second part would involve people playing chess - either simultaneously (on their individual boards) against Mr. Doren or any two players in the room against each other.
